Kirklees Active Leisure is a new organisation. Founded in 2002 we are a company with charitable status and we run leisure facilities formerly managed by Kirklees Council. We operate exclusively in Kirklees, operating ten leisure facilities with a total turnover in the region of £7million.
We are heavily dependent on having a successful fitness business in our portfolio - both to maintain existing income and usage levels, and to support organisational growth. We have invested heavily in this area for these reasons.
It is apparent to us that without taking our people to that next level, we will not maximise the benefit of this investment. To this end we have established a partnership with Pro-Fit to train and increase awareness of the need for an all-inclusive approach to membership management. Pro-Fit staff have provided general and specific training in this respect for all levels of our staff. Feedback from staff has been very positive at all levels and this is supporting the growth targets we have set ourselves. Not only is this growth being achieved by greater sales, but levels of retention are improving rapidly following the training. |
In addition Pro-Fit have worked with us alongside of our marketing partner to ensure an holistic approach to business development has been achieved. The levels of customer care and service have been developed with Pro-Fit to be entirely consistent with the marketing messages we have developed.
I consider our partnership with Pro-Fit to be a successful one and we have committed expenditure in next year's budget to further develop this. Their professionalism is second to none, their service both at the time of delivery and their aftercare are superb.
